Configure UiPath Integration Settings

Blueprint integrates with UiPath Studio to provide a head start for robot development and orchestration by seamlessly pushing aligned and prioritized business processes. Using Blueprint alongside UiPath ensures that visibility and context is communicated to robot developers by making related constraints like rules, policies, regulations, etc. and attachments available with a single click.

Within Blueprint, Business and Process Analysts design and optimize business processes while ensuring the necessary enterprise context is considered by tracing processes and tasks to constraints like business rules, policies, controls, regulations, non-functional requirements, etc.

Once the integration is configured in Blueprint, Analysts can export a Process model with a single click to UiPath's shared Git source control repository which sends the business process with all the visual elements including task details, attachments, and traces that exist to the shared repository.

You also have the option to enable the ability to download UiPath project files locally and then open them in a UiPath instance.

Upon opening the UiPath project, a Developer can see the visual business process with its associated tasks/steps, and decisions alongside all the associated artifacts. Links are also sent across for the Process and the tasks within the Process for developers to reference inside Blueprint, streamlining development while minimizing risk.

To be able to feed Process models - along with all visual elements, attachments, and traces - from Blueprint to UiPath, a Project Administrator must first configure your UiPath integration settings in the Administration Portal.

To configure your UiPath integration settings:

  1. Click Projects in the Administration Portal.
For information on how to access the Admin Portal, see the About the Administration Portal article.
  2. Select the project that you want to set up the UiPath integration for (that is, the project where you will be designing and optimizing process models to be pushed to UiPath).
  3. Click RPA Integration and select UiPath Integration Settings in the dropdown displayed.
  4. In the UiPath Integration Settings page displayed:
    1. In the Settings sections, define the different methods to either enable the integration with UiPath or to download the files locally:
      1. To enable the ability to download UiPath project files locally and open them in a UiPath instance, select the Enable Download UiPath Project Files.
      2. To enable the integration so UiPath project files are exported directly to a UiPath instance, select the Enable UiPath Integration checkbox.
Then enter the URL for the shared UiPath Git source control repository where you want to export your Blueprint Process artifacts and related information to in the Git Repository URL field.
    2. The UiPath integration with Blueprint uses HTTPS authentication. You can either use your Git user credentials or a token generated by your Git tool.
To use your Git credentials for authentication, select the User/Password radio button and enter your user and password in the corresponding fields.
To use a Git generated token, select the Token radio button and enter your token in the corresponding field.
    3. Click Save.
