Unassign Project Properties from a Project Artifact Type
As a Blueprint administrator, you can define which properties are available on your Project Artifact Type. Consider unassigning properties that are rarely used in your artifacts to emphasize more important properties.
To unassign Project Properties from Project Artifact Types in the Administration Portal, users must have the "Manage Project Configuration" privilege in their Project Administrator role. For more information on Project Administrator Roles, see the Manage Project Administrator Roles article.
Project Administrators are not able to unassign Properties from a Standard Artifact Type.
To unassign a Standard Property from a Standard Artifact Type:
Once unassigned, all data stored in selected properties stored in artifacts of the Project Artifact Type will be permanently deleted.
In the Administration Portal, click Projects and select the project you want to unassign Project Properties from. For information on how to access the Admin Portal, see the About the Administration Portal article.
Under Projects, clickArtifact Management and select Project Artifact Types.
On the Project Artifact Types list page, click the artifact type you want to unassign a Project Property from. You can search for artifact types by name or prefix using the search bar in the upper right corner. You can also sort the list by clicking a column header to display each column in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order.
In the Properties section, select the checkboxes for all the Project Properties you want to unassign from the Project Artifact Type.
Click the Actions button and select Unassign.The system may warn you that you may be erasing data from artifacts. Click OK to proceed.
Click Save. You can also order your remaining Project Properties as needed by clicking the directional arrows in the Order column.
Unassign a Project Property from Multiple Project Artifact Types
Blueprint administrators can also unassign one Project Property from multiple Project Artifact Types simultaneously.
To unassign a Project Property from multiple Project Artifact Types:
Once unassigned, all data stored in selected properties stored in artifacts of the Project Artifact Type will be permanently deleted.
In the Administration Portal, click Projects and select the project you want to unassign Project Properties from. For information on how to access the Admin Portal, see the About the Administration Portal article.
Under Projects, clickArtifact Management and select Project Properties.
In the Project Properties page, click the name of the property you want to unassign from multiple artifact types. You can search for the property by name using the search bar in the upper right corner. You can also sort the list by clicking a column header to display each column in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order.
In the Project Property's details page displayed, click the Artifact Types Assignments tab.
Select the checkboxes for all the displayed Project Artifact Types you want to unassign the Project Property from and then click OK.The system may warn you that you may be erasing data from artifacts. Click OK to proceed.
