Create a Model Artifact

To create a model artifact, click the New icon in the main toolbar and select Model in the Create Artifact window displayed.

A Model is a base artifact type that you can use to create a variety of different diagrams types, including BPMN.

When you create a new Model artifact, the Universal Model Editor is launched in the main content area. A newly-created Model artifact always starts off with a blank canvas.

To create a model artifact:

  1. Select the folder, artifact, or project you want the new Process artifact to be added to.
  2. Click the New icon () in the main toolbar.
  3. In the Create Artifact window displayed, select Model and name the new model artifact.
  4. Click Create.
