About Project Properties
A Project Property refers to the descriptive data that is associated with an artifact or sub-artifact at the project level. Some Project Properties are created by project administrators, and others are automatically added into the project. By creating or editing properties at the project level, you can tailor properties to the needs of an individual project without affecting other workspaces.
Project administrators with the applicable privileges can create Project Properties and assign them to one or more artifact or sub-artifact types.
Standard, System, and Custom Properties
The Project Properties page includes both the Custom Properties defined for the project and the Standard Properties defined across the instance.
Custom properties are different from default system properties that apply to all artifacts and sub-artifacts (such as Name and Artifact ID).
Custom properties are also different from standard properties, which apply to all projects. Project Administrators cannot edit Standard Properties but they can assign Standard Properties to custom artifact types.
The different types of Project Properties available in Blueprint include:
- Text
- Number
- Date
- Choice
- User
Each Project Property type provides different settings that can be configured.
