Embedded Objects
AutoTag allows you to embed an object — a program that renders itself as part of the document, worksheet or slide — in a report. The output displays the object as it is meant to be displayed, even if the template interface (MS Office) does not understand the object.
For instance, Word can take a schematic from a CAD program and call upon the CAD program to render it.
Every embedded object includes both the data file for the object (which AutoTag doesn't) and a metafile of the most recent rendering of the object (which AutoTag understands).
For DOCX -> DOCX and XLSX -> XLSX, AutoTag copies the object across in whole so it is still an embedded object in the generated report. For DOCX/XLSX -> and anything else, AutoTag renders the metafile to a bitmap and displays it as a bitmap.
