Actors
An actor can be any person, role, organization, application, or system that interacts with a modeled process. The purpose of creating actor artifacts is to include them in Processes. After you have created actor artifacts, you can set an actor for each shape in a Process.
Actor Artifact Properties
By default, an actor artifact contains the following system properties:
Property | Description |
Name | Indicates the name of the actor |
Type | Indicates the type of artifact |
Id | Provides a unique identifier for the actor. The Id cannot be modified |
Image | Displays the chosen actor image, or a default avatar if no image is chosen |
Inherits From | If the actor is inherited from another actor (that is, a parent), this property indicates the name and ID of the parent actor |
Description | Provides a description of the actor |
Your instance administrator can configure standard properties for each standard artifact type. Actors also have their own relationships, discussions, files, and history.
