Format Multiple Shapes in the Universal Model Editor

You can select multiple shapes in the canvas of the Universal Model Editor by Ctrl-clicking them or  by drawing an outline around them.

Multiple shapes can be formatted together. When multiple shapes are selected, the common formatting elements from that set of shapes are available to select in the Utility Panel.

Any formatting option selected in the Utility Panel is applied to all of the selected shapes. For example, if 10 shapes are selected and a new fill color is selected, that color is applied to all of the shapes.

You can also execute commands on multiple shapes. The commands available for multi-select are:

  • Cut
  • Copy
  • Paste
  • Delete.

For more information regarding using commands in the Universal Model Editor see the Use Shape Commands article.

Shapes can also be moved with multi-select.
